I help people design and implement important meetings and participative processes that support employee, customer and stakeholder engagement, joint sense-making and decision-making. 

Sometimes groups just need a helping hand to have the conversations and discussions they need in order to be able to work out how to move forward together. Often these processes are needed to generate greater levels of mutual understanding, open up possibilities or to gather important data to better understand a situation.

My support can be whatever you need and ranges from helping you think through what to do to facilitating the meeting so you can listen and participate without worrying about what comes next or how to bring it all to a conclusion.

Sometimes this means I take a lead role, so that the leaders can be participants without having to worry about the practical details. Often, I help the most important conversations to move forward by offering ways to open up the discussion or by helping everyone to reach agreement. Sometimes I am simply involved to assist with the design and to be in the background should things get sticky. Whatever the purpose or design my approach focuses on making sure there are ways for everyone to actively engage with what is important to them within the topic at hand.

Some of the projects I have been involved in include:

  • Facilitated workshops to jointly develop a workable and agreed project management framework to ensure effective coordination and on-time delivery of major projects for a major government Cluster.
  • Facilitated the initiation workshop (including clarification of roles and delineation of responsibility) for the newly recruited senior leadership team of a Division of a NSW Government department.
  • Facilitated a planning workshop to identify key steps (including issues and challenges) involved in a progressive transfer of operational responsibility for regional transport operations to a newly established entity.
  • Facilitating key events including national team meetings (three times per year), monthly management forum, strategic planning workshops and National Advisory Committee meetings (twice a year) for a service provider in the disability sector.
