As-needed conversations and support

Sometimes, as a leader, it seems that all you need is an opportunity to verbalise what you are thinking. As you do so, whatever it was that was bothering you begins to make a different sort of sense. Increasingly, though, leaders don’t have people in their organisation with whom they can have this sort of conversation. More and more in organisational life things feel very competitive and it doesn’t always seem safe to speak too soon.
